Cloisters Demo: Join Us | For The Public | For Participants | By Transit | By Car
The 2022 festival was a rousing success — and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
The Cloisters Demo at the Fort Tryon Park Medieval Festival is the SCA’s largest demo opportunity of the year — with over fifty thousand people visiting the site, it’s a great chance to show off all of the things we do in the SCA, and we’d love your help sharing our passion with the public.
If you’re a member of the public who’s curious about historical re-creation, stop by and talk to us — we’re in the first open field, right by the entrance to the park — we love talking about all of the various skills and activities that are part of our hobby, and we’re always happy to connect with like-minded people. See our activities page for a schedule and a list of things you can see and learn about.
If you’re already in the Society, please join us in our encampment. We still have room for more participants — more chatelaines, more fighters and fencers, more artists and craftspeople, and more bards and performers of every stripe.
We’ll have list fields set up for rattan and rapier and youth combat, space for you to exhibit your A&S work, opportunities for bardic performance, music and dance, a period garb fashion show, and more — all in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd.
The event is officially open to the public from 11:30 to 6:00, although we will need help setting up earlier that morning and packing things away afterwards.
If you’d like to reserve exhibition space, or if you have any questions that aren’t answered here, please contact the event steward:

We hope to see you there!
