Please join us Thursday, November 7, at 7:30pm for a class on Elizabethan-era clothing, taught by Mistress Vika Grigina z Prahy. The Crown Province will be hosting the kingdom Twelfth Night celebration with an Elizabethan/Shakespearean theme, so now is a great time to think about what to wear!
The class will present a survey of the different garments that comprise a late-16th-century person’s outfit, including options for all levels of society. Following that, we will offer consulting assistance to help you put together a plan for your outfit, suited to your available time, resources, and comfort level.
The class is not at the usual solar location. It will be held at Rm. 502 of the Diana Center at Barnard College. No ID is required to enter campus or the building for this event. The building and the room are accessible.
To get to Barnard, take the 1 train to 116th & Broadway, and enter the main campus gates on the west side of Broadway at 117th St. The Diana Center is the orange-glass building to the right across a small lawn. (There are also campus maps posted just inside the gate.)
Do not come to the room before 7:15pm, as there is a class in that space before us.
